NY Workers' Compensation Board to Re-Open Monday, November 5th

The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board was closed a record five straight days this week due to Hurricane Sandy.  Thankfully, for all those injured workers who are desperately awaiting hearings, the Board will re-open this Monday, November 5, 2012 at full strength.

*All those who had their hearings cancelled last week due to Hurricane Sandy will have their hearings rescheduled as soon as possible.

Turley, Redmond and Rosasco, L.L.P. would like to thank all our patient and loyal clients who were unable to contact us for the past few days due to Hurricane Sandy.  Our electricity and phones were finally restored in our Ronkonkoma office at 8:30pm Thursday night.  We were able to get electricity and partial staffing restored in our Garden City and Shirley offices on Wednesday.

We look forward to operating normally next week.  Most importantly, we hope all of you are safe and warm if you are still without electric or heat.  A number of our lawyers and staff are still without power, but are coping just like you with the inconveniences brought by Sandy.  Let us hope LIPA makes some progress this weekend!

Best regards,

TRR & R
