The attorneys at Turley, Redmond and Rosasco have over three decades of experience representing injured and disabled workers and veterans in Garden City. We have a long track record of success in obtaining our clients the benefits they deserve through the workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, and veterans disability programs.
Social Security Disability
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a federal program administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) that provides benefits for workers who suffer injuries that will prevent them from returning to work for at least 12 months or are expected to result in their deaths. Our SSDI attorneys have extensive experience representing injured and disabled workers at the SSA and can handle every step of the process.
Workers’ compensation is a state-level program, administered by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board, that provides a fixed set of benefits to most private sector employees who suffer job-related injuries and illnesses that temporarily prevent them from working. In addition to medical benefits, the program provides cash benefits in an amount equal to 2/3 of your average weekly wage multiplied by the percentage of your disability (up to certain limits). We have over 30 years of experience representing injured and disabled workers before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and have a long track record of obtaining the most successful outcomes possible for our clients.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is the federal agency that is responsible for evaluating veterans’ injuries and paying them disability benefits. Veterans disability claims can often be complex and involve lengthy wait times. Our veterans disability attorneys at Turley, Redmond and Rosasco are experts at the veterans disability claims process and have successfully navigated many of our clients’ claims through all phases of the application process by filing the strongest applications and advocating on their behalf at every step.
Construction is one of the most dangerous industries for workers because construction workers face a unique set of hazards, including heavy machinery, scaffolding, nearby speeding traffic, and many others. Construction workers who are injured on a job site have several avenues through which they may obtain compensation, including workers’ compensation claims, Social Security disability claims, and third-party tort claims against property owners, contractors, and other entities. Our attorneys offer comprehensive legal services to injured construction workers by advocating on their behalf in all three of these types of claims.
