New York Workers' Compensation Board Shuts Down Due to Hurricane Sandy

 Despite rain, sleet, snow and wind, the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board rarely closes and cancels hearings. 

Now even the stalwart NY Workers Compensation Board has been tamed by Hurricane Sandy today.  See the Workers’ Comepensation Board’s announcement here. 

The following district offices are closed today, Monday, October 29, 2012: 

• Long Island (Hauppauge, Hempstead)
• Manhattan
• Queens
• Brooklyn
• Peekskill
• Albany
• Binghamton

Hopefully, all claimants in the tri-state area are hunkered down safe in your homes and prepared for whatever Sandy has to bring.  Do not go out if you don’t have to.  We will update you, weather and electricity permitting, of any closures scheduled for tomorrow.
